萨城中文学校在2014年12月被中国国务院侨务办公室授予海外“华文教育示范学校”称号。最初筹建于1975年。当时条件异常艰苦，生源匮乏，只有几个学生。中途还曾经几次易名。在1990年，学校分为两所。萨城中文学校正式开始教授汉语拼音和简体汉字。开始使用由中国国务院侨办提供的《中文》教材。教材系统、完整，从学前班到小学、初中、高中，直至成人班都有成套教材可供选择。
萨城中文学校的办学宗旨：学习中国语言文字；传承中华优秀文化；搭建民间友谊桥梁；创建多元文化社会！
萨城中文学校目前是萨省规模最大、人数最多、管理最为规范的语言学校。今年注册学生已超过200人。现设班级、课程：学前班至九年级文化课；萨省教育部承认的高中10、11、12年级中文学分课。课外活动兴趣班：中国象棋班、唱歌班、素描班、绘画班、舞蹈大班、舞蹈小班、手工班、武术班、数学大班、数学小班。
萨城中文学校租借萨城公立高中教室。数学班：每周六下午12:00-1:00上课; 文化课：1：00-3：00上课； 兴趣班：3：00-4：00上课。高中学分班4：00-7：00上课。

The Chinese Language School of Saskatoon originated in 1975 in Saskatoon. In 1990, it divided into two schools. The Chinese Language School of Saskatoon (CLSS) started to teach standard Chinese characters and Pinyin. It is officially registered as a charitable, non-for-profit organization in Saskatchewan.
The Mission Statement of the CLSS is as follows: studying the Chinese language, showcasing Chinese cultures, building friendships and bridging gaps between societies, and establishing a multicultural society.
The school is run by volunteer board members, who are elected to help and serve our community.
All classes are taught in standard Chinese, known as Putonghua in China, or Mandarin in the west. Pinyin is also used in all classes. Pinyin is a phonetic alphabet used to correctly pronounce the Chinese language, and it has now been almost universally adopted in the west for transliterating Chinese personal and place names. The school has the best teachers, who all have university degrees from China and/or Canada, and many years of teaching experience.
Currently, the CLSS is the largest heritage language school in Saskatchewan (statistics supported by Saskatchewan Organization for Heritage Languages), with over 200 students ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 12 high-school credit classes. In addition to language classes, the CLSS also offers extra-curricular classes including: Chinese chess, choir, Chinese sketching and art, dance, crafts, martial arts.
All classes are offered on Saturdays, between September and June at Aden Bowman Collegiate, at 1904 Clarence Ave S, in Saskatoon.
